One way the devil messes with our minds is by playing with our identity. However, God has called us His very own and has given us multiple promises. Once we focus on who we are to God, we can ignore the lies of the enemy.

As I read the Word, the Lord reveals to me who we are to Him.

I am God’s spiritual seed

( Psalm 22:30 TPT )

( In Matthew 13, a seed is likened to the word of God so we are walking declarations of God, all that God has breathed into scripture is us)

I am God’s anointed one

( Psalm 28:80 TPT)

I have a priestly calling

( Psalm 29:2 TPT)

I am a lover of God

( Psalm 30:4 TPT) ( Romans 8:28 TPT)

I am part of His treasured possession

( Deuteronomy 7:6 NIV)

I am more valuable to God than anything else in this world

( Luke 12:7 TPT )

We are the Lord’s treasured possession

( Deuteronomy 14:2)

I am enriched beyond belief

( Proverbs 10:6 TPT )

My reputation is a sweet memorial to me

( Proverbs 10:7 TPT )

A son of God and a son of the resurrection

( Luke 20:36)

I am like a flourishing olive tree

( Psalm 52:8 TPT)

TPT- the passion translation
NIV- New International Version

This is a reminder. May you constantly be reminded of who the Lord sees you as because that is who you really are!

Bye <3

a misconception with prayer.

Thinking that praying for a certain amount of time carries power is idolatry.

Wait, hear me out.

I say this because, it means that we believe that the power is in the length of time and not in the person we are praying to. I believe that extended prayer periods with the Lord do lead us to see more power but it’s not because of the time spent but the room given for the Lord to display His power and reveal His nature. Timing yourself is not a bad thing at all when praying and it is needed since we all have schedules but if you believe that praying for 30 minutes without the presence of the Holy Spirit is more powerful than praying for 10 minutes with the tangible presence of God then you’re mistaken. The only reason we pray is to communicate with Him, not to exercise our tongue or make noise but solely to be intimate with the Lord. So, don’t be like me who believed in the power of time and not effective prayer. Desire to spend long hours in prayer but this desire should be rooted in the fact that you’re spending more time with the Lord.

Amen

A very short message for today because a lot of the time we hear lengthy messages but they never sink deep into our hearts. So I pray that this short word from the Lord would allow you to spend more intimate hours with the Him🤎.

a soft heart. The Bible refers to it as a heart of flesh ( Ezekiel 36:26) . Having a soft heart allows easy implantation of seeds by the Holy Spirit. Having a soft heart allows the Lord to mould it in any way He desires ( and that’s what we must truly desire, that the Lord will mould our hearts into what He envisions it to be).

Having a soft heart is what I want everyday of my life. I may not understand everything the Lord says but this soft heart would allow me to receive every word He speaks. Having a soft heart pushes me into deeper realms of intimacy with my bridegroom, my lover, Jesus Christ, because He can impress whatever He feels onto this precious softened heart.

I pray for a softened heart daily so I may receive wholeheartedly all the sweet words of my Father, so I may accept all the wonderful promises. I pray for a softened heart that beats gently with the very blood of Jesus Christ passing through every chamber of the heart.

Let us pray,

Give me a softened heart Lord! Place me in situations that would soften the hard heart I was born with. I want you alone to remodel my heart oh Jesus, that I may resemble you as I work out my salvation with fear and trembling.

Ah Lord you are mighty! So glorious is our King! May hearts be softened for the Lord’s glory now and forevermore in Jesus’ name!
