In a world where everything has an alternate rapid route, it’s hard to be consistent. I mean, people pick fast food over home cooked meals, as long as there’s food, they’re good. People pay ridiculous fees for processes to be sped up , whether it’s legal or illegal. We are all just in a hurry to place that gives us more satisfaction and happiness. Moreover, we can’t be consistent.

But in the kingdom of God, God honours consistency. Let’s take a look at

our brother Peter

*the rock

*the guy who assumed he was Jesus’ bestie

In Mark 16:7, after Jesus is raised from the dead ( Hallelujah!🥳), the ladies at the tomb meet an angel and this angel basically briefs them on what just happened. These ladies are awestruck, as they should be. The angel then tells them to go and tell the disciples and Peter what he just told them. Peter is singled out! Wow!

This is because Jesus had named Peter the rock which is because Peter was consistent. Peter always placed himself in a position to be close to Jesus. When Jesus was walking on water in Matthew 14:22-36, Peter opted to join Him on the water. Peter didn’t even want Jesus to die ( Matthew 16:22)! In all this, Peter’s only motive was to be close to the Son of God and he was consistently following this motive!

Consistency births revelation because it leads you into deeper realms of intimacy. The more time you spend with someone, regardless of how each encounter goes, the more intimate you become with that person. Thus the more knowledge you gain of that individual. It is the exact same thing with God. This is why Paul urges us to run our race in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, because once we are consistent on the track we will definitely get our eternal crown.

So continue praying, worshipping, reading the Bible, fellowshipping, evangelising, interceding because we don’t focus on earthly prizes and applauds but we focus on what is unseen, the eternal matters of this life ( 2 Corinthians 4:18).

1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

See you next time!

I definitely know how hard it is…

It felt like everyday the devil was attacking me with a different scheme

Even when I was running to the Word I still remembered that desire

Even as I tried to run away from that thought I kept forgetting it was the state of my mind

Even as I tried to distract myself with all sort of things I kept on forgetting that I couldn’t do it on my own

Even as I continuously blamed myself for my wrongdoings I kept on forgetting that he has already forgiven me for that

I definitely know how hard it is to let go of the things of the world because when I was of the world I was fully soaked with all sort of worldly things

My mind had no room for the Lord or His word

My heart had no place for purification

The Holy Ghost felt uncomfortable to say I was His dwelling place

I seemed fine on the outside but I was slowly and surely dying on the inside

During those times I forgot who had already overcome the world

I wasn’t aware of the amazing sacrifice that had already taking place
I was unaware of the everlasting satisfaction because I had only had a taste of temporary satisfaction
I didn’t know what was on the other side

The joy of the Lord is more than amazing because it’s literally a trait of a Christ follower not a season for a Christian.

I remember thinking I was the lowest of the lowest and there was noway I could see myself in deeper dimensions of the Spirit but if that’s the Lord’s will then it will come to pass

There was a season of my life that I never rested and I remember asking the Lord why I wasn’t leaving certain seasons. I remember so clearly when He told me that I am going to help someone overcome the same season in the near future. To anyone who thinks he/she is too dirty for the Lord, stop allowing the devil to deceive you because Jesus came to save the lost not the people who already know Him.

He is literally waiting for you and only you

He can’t wait for you to get on your knees and surrender it all to Him.

And to those who are going through a lot right now…just stay calm and breathe

Just stay quiet and listen to Him

Just stay still and know that He’s in control

Have faith that whatever is worrying you isn’t your end (Isaiah 41:10)

See, with Jesus even death is victory

See, you cannot stop heavenly activities with man made blockages

No matter what scheme the devil tries to use against you, it’s not stopping what God has planned for you

Remember that!

Alexa:-a virtual assistant AI technology developed by Amazon. It can play music, set to-do lists and many more. ( Wikipedia)

Believe it or not, your music playlist is an open book to how you think and what your desires are. It may not tell the whole story but it surely gives a glimpse of who you are.

So if your music can reveal some personality traits it means that the music you listen to influences you.

Only an entity with an agenda and some sort of power can influence another party. For example, we are influenced by our parents because they have the agenda of training us and attain parental power because they’re the heads. However, a rock cannot influence us because it is inanimate so it has no agenda and it has not attained any power.

Music can influence us because it has both an agenda and power. These two components are not housed in the music itself but in the spirit behind the music.

Every musical piece has a spirit behind it. Whether you accept this statement or not, it is the truth so it won’t be erased by your disbelief. Once upon a time I also found this pill hard to swallow but once I allowed the Holy Spirit to explain it to me, I understood. So kindly do same.

In Revelation chapters 8 and 9, we read about the trumpets. As these trumpets are blown, horrendous events happen to those on the Earth ( those who are not raptured because they did not give their lives completely to Jesus). The blowing of a trumpet is a musical piece and this piece results in an activity because spiritual forces were activated. What we need to understand is that when we listen to music, we activate certain spiritual forces which either benefit us or destroy us.

In Ephesians 5:19, Paul tells us to sing songs from the Spirit because they allow the Holy Spirit to come alive within us and lead us into deeper realms of intimacy.

There are other songs we listen to that allow evil spirits to come alive. The agenda of an evil spirit is always to steal, kill and destroy, as their master does ( John 10:10).

There are songs that leave us filled with lust, anger and rage, all of which are not traits of a man or woman of God. These traits lead us to become people who are not permitted into the kingdom of Heaven ( Revelation 22:15).

There are some songs that carry a spirit of temporal happiness or peace but they never satisfy us like the Holy Spirit would.

Listen to more Spirit-filled music,

*music that leads you into the place of prayer and fellowship

*music that allows you to magnify the Lord and reassures you of His nature.

The Holy Spirit uses music in so many ways. He uses this medium to unlock different dimensions of the God we serve and leads us unto deeper paths of intimacy. He gives us peace, once we let Him.

So today, what are you telling Alexa to play.....
